      What is a CSA and what is the Vinaroon CSA?

      CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. We selected this model because it is the best way for you to connect directly with the farmers. This connection is severely lacking in conventional agriculture systems. This is especially true for wine - industrial wine production has become the norm and your support is needed to make Vinaroon wines and small, sustainable farming viable options.

      A Vinaroon is someone who is inseparably a farmer and winemaker. The term Vinaroon presently exists in French, Italian, and German but fell out of favor in the English language around the time of Shakespeare. If you like Grower Champagne, you’ll love Vinaroon wine.

      As the wines featured in the Vinaroon CSA are very rare and made in extremely low quantities, there are a limited number of Vinaroon CSA packages available. We fully anticipate selling out of packages. We will give first right of refusal to past Vinaroon CSA members and there will be a waiting list once they are sold out.

      CSA members receive:

      • Depending on your support level (pricing listed under country choice):
        • Grapes Package - 12 bottles
        • Vineyard Package - 24 bottles
        • Farm Package - 48 bottles per year
        • See appropriate country selection for pricing. Shipping is included. The Grapes Package is shipped in one annual shipment and the Vineyard and Farm Packages are shipped bi-annually, both to keep your costs down and to reduce the environmental impact of shipping. Expect to receive your wines in spring and/or autumn depending on the package.
      • Detailed updates about the growing season, including information about how your grapes are progressing and video tours of the vineyards
      • Invitations to members only dinners - 5 courses paired with Farmstead Wines (Price not included in Vinaroon CSA Membership)
      • Invitations to members only farm tour experiences in Europe - including exclusive cellar tastings, cooking classes, and dining at local, authentic restaurants (Price not included in Vinaroon CSA Membership)
      • Wine pairing and recipe tips for each of the wines
      • Cellar stocking services: CSA members can hire Anthony Nicalo of Farmstead Wines to stock their personal cellar with rare artisan wines

      Are shipping and taxes included in my membership?

      Yes, shipping, import tariffs and taxes are included.

      When should I expect to receive my wines?

      Spring and Fall (usually May and October)

      What wines do I get?

      Each 12 bottle case is a mix of 4 wines, so you have one to try, one to share and one for your cellar.

      Does buying direct from the farm save me money?

      Of course. CSA members receive wines at a 20% discount off retail prices. You save nearly $200 off the retail price per case
      depending on your membership level.

      Can I buy more than one membership?

      Yes, if you want more wine you can buy up to 10 Farm Packages (40 cases of wine per year) per individual name.

      Are memberships/interests transferrable?

      Yes, you may transfer your packages to another person.

      Can I share a membership with someone else?

      Yes, but each membership can only be shipped to one address. You are responsible for splitting the wine with the other person(s).

      Farmstead guarantees I will receive great wines?

      Exactly. The wines we select are consistently fantastic and we regularly convert “red-only” wine drinkers into white wine fans and vice versa.

      Why buy through the CSA instead of my local wine shop?

      You will save money. You will save approximately 20% off retail pricing. You will receive wine that you can’t get at your local wine shop.

      Can I refer a friend?

      Yes. Refer TWO friends and receive one bottle of Farmstead Wine added to your next shipment
